This unit functioned normally throughout its use, and since removing it from my vehicle, I've stored it in a box in temperature-controlled environments. I removed this from my 2011 Jetta SportWagen TDI when I "upgraded" the stereo head unit to an Alpine that supported CarPlay. I always missed the tactile quality of this OEM stereo unit, though, and kept it when I sold the car in 2023.
